RED JACKET DINING HALL: CREATING AN INVIGORATING STUDENT EXPERIENCE

The State University of New York at Geneseo partnered with Edge Architecture to transform their dining hall to create a better student union atmosphere and serve as a new hot destination on the college's campus.

Before, Red Jacket only offered all-you-care-to-eat fare at a single serving line. The new design offers a countless variety of fresh food choices with engaging cooking stations. Ample dining and seating zones are scattered throughout to ensure students can find a comfortable spot.

To maximize use of the entire building, we gave students even more food and dining options on the second floor. An “Eat, Study, Play” interior design concept encourages socialization and collaboration with dry erase walls and comfortable lounge spaces with technology and televisions.
